The procedure significantly reduced hard clinical outcomes when added to standard medical therapy for severe tricuspid regurgitation. The trial successfully met its primary endpoints.
Treated patients achieved 52.4% freedom from all-cause mortality or heart failure hospitalization at three years. The medical therapy control group achieved 21.0% freedom from these outcomes. These findings are expected to inform future clinical guidelines.
