Intel appointed semiconductor veteran and former SK Hynix CEO Seok-Hee Lee as executive vice president of Intel Foundry. Lee reports directly to CEO Lip-Bu Tan. He will lead advanced packaging, system integration, and back-end technology manufacturing.
The move establishes advanced packaging as a dedicated business unit. This restructuring targets the development of high-performance computing systems.
EVP Naga Chandrasekaran will now focus exclusively on front-end technology development and manufacturing. His mandate includes the ramp-up of future process nodes, specifically Intel 18A and 14A. Executive Vice President Navid Shahriari will retire from the company.
