Intel and Hitachi launched a strategic collaboration to accelerate the adoption of physical AI and advanced computing. The initiative targets digital transformation across the manufacturing, energy, and mobility sectors.

The partnership integrates Hitachi’s operational technology and industrial products with Intel’s silicon platforms. The joint effort focuses on five pillars: foundry tools, quantum computing, energy optimization, custom edge-AI silicon, and factory automation.

Hitachi will deploy energy management services within Intel’s semiconductor fabrication plants. Both companies will also co-develop quantum computing technologies. This agreement expands a business relationship spanning more than 40 years.
