Incyte announced promising preliminary results from a Phase 1 study of its CDK2 inhibitor, INCB123667, combined with bevacizumab. The company presented the data at the 2026 European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Congress. The drug combination achieved a 48% objective response rate in heavily pretreated patients with platinum-resistant ovarian cancer. It also achieved a 91% disease control rate in this patient group.
The study evaluated patients with cyclin E1-overexpressing ovarian cancer, a group often facing a poor prognosis. The combination therapy demonstrated antitumor activity in patients previously treated with PARP inhibitors and bevacizumab. Median progression-free survival reached 7.4 months.
Based on these encouraging results, Incyte plans to initiate a Phase 3 trial, MAESTRA 3, in 2026. This study will evaluate the combination as a first-line maintenance therapy. It targets patients with advanced ovarian cancer that overexpresses cyclin E1.
