On October 22, 2026, BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) recorded approximately $254 million in outflows. It was the largest contribution to about $635 million in net outflows from all U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs that day, the biggest one-day withdrawal since June 25.

Bitcoin traded around $80,900 on October 24, below the ETFs’ estimated average cost basis of $81,500 to $82,000. This suggests many positions held by the funds are at a loss, potentially prompting further selling.

Despite the recent outflows, IBIT has attracted approximately $6 billion of the $6.4 billion in net inflows into U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs since August.
