Hut 8 Corp. completed the sale of its Canadian managed cloud services business to Opti9 Technologies on September 3, 2026. The transaction includes the transfer of 10 employees and all traditional managed cloud operations to the service provider.
The divestment aligns with Hut 8’s strategy to exit non-core assets. The company will now concentrate its resources on digital asset mining, graphics processing unit (GPU) services, and high-performance computing (HPC).
Hut 8 retains ownership of its Canadian data center facilities. Both companies have entered a multi-year colocation agreement, allowing Opti9 to operate the acquired infrastructure from Hut 8’s existing locations.
