HSBC Holdings PLC announced Group CFO Pam Kaur will step down by the 2027 annual general meeting. Kaur will transition to an advisory role through the end of 2028 to support CEO Georges Elhedery on strategic projects. The board has launched a search for her successor among internal and external candidates.
Kaur began her tenure as CFO in January 2025 after more than a decade with the bank. This departure follows a series of leadership changes under Elhedery as he executes a strategic overhaul. The bank remains focused on its core operations in the UK and Asia.
HSBC shares traded lower following the announcement.
