Hoa Phat Group received a permit to increase the annual output of its Tay Ninh province steel plant to 810,000 tons. This expansion more than doubles the 400,000-ton capacity established when the facility was inaugurated in April 2026.
The increased production will supply major infrastructure projects in southern Vietnam, such as the Long Thanh International Airport. The facility will focus on manufacturing steel pipes and galvanized steel products.
The company reported a 48% year-over-year rise in crude steel output for Q2 2026. This move aligns with Hoa Phat’s broader strategy to meet surging domestic demand.
