Robinhood Markets' AI-powered Agentic trading accounts have signed up over 100,000 users since their May launch. CEO Vlad Tenev revealed this milestone during the company's second-quarter 2026 earnings call. The new feature allows AI agents to trade equities and options for users, indicating strong initial interest.
Despite the strong uptake, Tenev acknowledged the technology remains in its early stages. He noted AI models sometimes create friction, stating they can "fight you" when asked to execute a trade. This occurs because the models are not inherently familiar with trading commands. Robinhood is working to improve this user experience. The company also plans to expand the feature to include cryptocurrency trading.
