HDFC Bank shares fell to a two-year low on August 11, 2026. The stock dropped approximately 1% during intraday trading on the BSE.

The lender’s share price has declined 12% over the last two months. In the 2026 calendar year, the stock has fallen 27% and underperformed the broader market.

Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) reduced their holdings for the fifth consecutive quarter. Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) reportedly increased their stakes during this period.

HDFC Bank is also among five Indian lenders considering a $3 billion fundraise. The bank may secure these funds through dollar bonds or loans.
