GSK secured an exclusive worldwide licensing agreement with HUTCHMED for the cancer therapy HMPL-A830. HUTCHMED will retain development and commercialization rights in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan.
The agreement includes a $110 million upfront payment to HUTCHMED. The deal provides for up to $1.295 billion in potential milestone payments. HUTCHMED will also receive tiered royalties on future net sales.
HMPL-A830 is an antibody-targeted therapy conjugate (ATTC) that combines a KRAS small molecule inhibitor with an EGFR antibody. This design selectively delivers the treatment directly to cancer tissue.
Initial clinical development will target colorectal, pancreatic, and lung cancers. HUTCHMED will lead global Phase I development starting in the second half of 2026. GSK will manage all subsequent development and commercialization within its licensed territories.
