U.S. digital advertising revenue reached a record $294.6 billion in 2025. This total represents a 13.9% increase from the previous year, according to an annual report from the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). The industry maintained growth despite a lack of major cyclical events like the Olympics or elections.

Social media and digital video largely propelled the overall expansion. Social media advertising revenue surged 32.6% to $117.7 billion. Digital video revenue climbed 25.4% to $78 billion.

Search advertising remained a major category with $114.2 billion in revenue. However, search growth slowed to 11% year-over-year.
