Google leads $200B AI chip deal for Anthropic, tapping private credit

Google leads a $200 billion infrastructure financing program to supply AI firm Anthropic with Tensor Processing Units (TPUs). This arrangement provides Anthropic with the computing power required for its advanced AI models.

The partnership includes chipmaker Broadcom and private credit giants Blackstone and Apollo. These firms purchase the hardware and lease it directly to Anthropic.

Google guarantees the data centers while Broadcom manages chip supply and financing. This structure allows Anthropic to scale operations without massive upfront capital expenditures.
