Corning Incorporated signed a multibillion-dollar agreement to supply Amazon with optical fiber and connectivity solutions. The multi-year deal supports Amazon’s expanding U.S. data center infrastructure. This partnership strengthens the domestic supply chain for the artificial intelligence boom.

The investment creates 1,000 advanced manufacturing jobs at Corning’s North Carolina facilities. Plant expansions will also support hundreds of construction jobs. Both companies are expanding a workforce development program with a local community college to train fiber optic technicians.

This agreement marks Corning’s third major AI-related deal in 2026. The company previously secured large contracts with Meta and Nvidia. Corning is now positioned as a primary supplier for AI infrastructure.
