Meta Platforms Inc. finalized its operational separation from Manus on June 12, 2026. This move terminates all data exchange between the two entities.

The separation restricts Manus employees from accessing Meta’s internal data systems. Meta staff are also prohibited from using Manus tools for any projects.

Reports indicate the decision follows pressure from Beijing to reverse the original deal. Manus founders are now considering a $1 billion buyback to comply with regulatory demands.
