Ford Motor Co. CEO Jim Farley urged the U.S. government to block Chinese automakers from selling vehicles domestically. Farley warned of a devastating impact on American manufacturing during an appearance on Fox News. He identified low-cost, high-tech Chinese exports as a primary threat to the U.S. industry.

Farley also highlighted national security risks linked to the data-gathering capabilities of Chinese vehicle technology. The U.S. currently maintains a 100% tariff on Chinese-made electric vehicles to exclude competitors like BYD. Farley expects this protectionist stance to be a priority in upcoming trade negotiations with Canada and Mexico.
