Deutsche Telekom expects AI and automation to generate about €2.5 billion in indirect cost savings by 2030, compared with 2023 levels. It expects €1.1 billion in gross savings by 2027 across operations outside the United States.

The company is targeting about €800 million in AI-related revenue from business customers outside the U.S. by 2030. Its interim revenue goal is €250 million by 2026. The services will include sovereign AI for businesses and public institutions.

Deutsche Telekom plans to reinvest the savings in its digital transformation and the expansion of Germany’s fiber-optic network. It said its overall medium-term financial guidance remains unchanged because of this reinvestment strategy.
