Dow Inc. raised its second-quarter EBITDA outlook to approximately $2.2 billion. This revised forecast increases the previous guidance of $2 billion and surpasses market consensus.
Resilient demand for polyethylene packaging and seasonal growth in coatings drove the more optimistic outlook. Tightening supply and a successful North American price increase for polyethylene further boosted margins.
Second-quarter volumes have grown in the low single digits year-over-year. Dow expects its ongoing transformation programs to deliver $1.1 billion in benefits by 2026.
