DiDi officially rebranded its mobile application by removing "Chuxing" from its name. The company launched App version 8.0 to transition toward a platform-based service model. The new interface organizes services into four primary pillars: Ride, Delivery, Travel, and Owner.
This strategy positions DiDi as an urban life services platform comparable to WeChat and Meituan. A recent integration with WeChat’s AI assistant ecosystem enables direct ride booking through the social platform.
The expansion follows strong Q1 2026 financial results. International gross transaction value surged 60% year-over-year. International operations now represent 30% of the company’s total GTV.
