New Era Energy & Digital, Inc. appointed Charlie Nelson as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1, 2026. Nelson previously served as the company’s President and Chief Operating Officer. He will lead the execution of data center delivery and power development.
Ted Warner assumed the roles of President and Chief Financial Officer and joined the Board of Directors. Warner oversees finance, capital markets, and strategic planning. José Rodriguez, formerly of Microsoft, TikTok, and Amazon Web Services, joined as Chief Operating Officer. Rodriguez manages infrastructure delivery and operations.
The leadership transition supports the development of large-scale data centers for AI workloads. These efforts center on the company’s flagship Texas Critical Data Centers project.
