Dassault Systèmes is in talks to acquire drug-trial software provider ArisGlobal from Nordic Capital.

The potential transaction is valued at approximately $2 billion.

Discussions are currently ongoing and no final agreement has been reached.

The purchase would deepen the French software maker's expansion into the life sciences industry.

This deal would represent the company's second-largest acquisition to date.

Dassault previously purchased clinical trial group Medidata Solutions for $5.8 billion in 2019.
