The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has ordered a statutory audit of 27 Dabur India product lines. This move intensifies a regulatory crackdown on health, immunity, and wellness claims that extend beyond simple descriptors like 100% Pure or Natural.

The regulator requires Dabur to submit scientific evidence and clinical trial data to substantiate claims on products including honey, cold-pressed oils, and apple cider vinegar. Dabur must withdraw any labeling that fails to comply with current food safety regulations.

This enforcement follows a previous FSSAI directive which Dabur challenged in legal proceedings. The company currently holds interim relief from the Delhi High Court regarding that prior order.
