Cognizant has expanded its partnership with Google Cloud, establishing a Gemini Frontier Capability Group with more than 18,000 engineers. The group builds on a dedicated Gemini practice launched in April 2026 and will help move clients’ AI projects from pilots into full-scale production.
The collaboration will help clients automate business processes, modernize legacy systems and improve developer experience using Google’s Gemini models. Cognizant reported that one large retail client increased developer productivity by 40% after integrating Gemini across its software development lifecycle. The client reduced time-to-market by 30%. It also achieved 35% cost savings.
Cognizant is also deploying Gemini internally for up to 200,000 associates.
