Czechoslovak Group (CSG) is reviewing the potential acquisition of a 14% stake in Italian tire manufacturer Pirelli. Chinese conglomerate Sinochem currently holds a 34.1% stake in the Milan-based company and would act as the seller.
CSG CEO Michal Strnad is evaluating the move to expand the group's industrial footprint beyond its core defense sector. A stake in Pirelli, which was founded in 1872, would represent a significant strategic investment for the Czech-based group.
No financial details or definitive agreements have been announced at this stage.
