Salesforce signed a definitive agreement to acquire m3ter on June 8, 2026. The platform specializes in consumption-based billing to support monetization shifts driven by artificial intelligence.

Salesforce will integrate m3ter’s technology into its Agentforce Revenue Management platform. This allows customers to manage flexible, usage-based pricing models for their own services.

The acquisition helps enterprises launch and bill for services based on consumption rather than traditional subscriptions. Salesforce shares declined following the announcement.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of Salesforce's fiscal year 2027.
