Canadian National Railway (CN) surpassed analyst expectations for the second quarter.
Revenue increased 11% year-over-year to C$4.75 billion. Adjusted diluted earnings per share rose 11% to C$2.08. Revenue ton-miles grew 5% behind strong grain and energy volumes.
CN raised its 2026 financial outlook based on this momentum. The company now forecasts low single-digit growth in revenue ton-miles, an upgrade from its previous flat projection. Adjusted diluted EPS growth for the full year is now expected in the mid-to-high single-digit range.
