ITV confirms "active discussions" with Comcast, the parent company of Sky. The talks concern the potential sale of ITV's Media and Entertainment division.
The proposed deal totals £1.6 billion. ITV initially announced the talks in November 2025.
The sale includes ITV’s television channels. The deal also covers the ITVX streaming service.
Comcast and Sky aim to establish a dominant UK-focused streaming service. ITV omitted a previous "no certainty" cautionary phrase from its latest statement.
