Comcast CEO of Connectivity & Platforms Steven Croney announced a 64% reduction in broadband subscriber losses at the MoffettNathanson Media, Internet & Communications Conference. The company lost 65,000 subscribers in the first quarter of 2026. This figure improved from a loss of 181,000 subscribers in the fourth quarter of 2025.
Croney attributed over half of this improvement to the Winter Olympics and Super Bowl LX. These events drove record viewership across NBC and Peacock.
The Xfinity brand is also implementing a strategic shift toward simplified national pricing tiers. This new messaging replaces complex technical language with a transparent value proposition.
