Clal Insurance Enterprises Holdings is negotiating a minority stake in investment bank Value Base. The company plans to invest between NIS 130 million and NIS 150 million. This transaction would secure an 18% to 20% stake at a NIS 600 million pre-money valuation.
These preliminary negotiations revive a deal that stalled two years ago. The move signals Clalβs intent to re-enter the underwriting and investment banking sectors.
Value Base launched in 2013 to manage equity offerings and mergers and acquisitions. The firm also represents international investment institutions within Israel.
