C.H. Robinson has agreed to acquire freight brokerage firm RXO in a cash-and-stock transaction valued at approximately $5.8 billion. [1, 10, 17] The deal combines C.H. Robinson’s global forwarding operations with RXO’s brokerage network and expertise in expedited and last-mile delivery services in North America. [16, 17]

The combined company will have an enterprise value of more than $25 billion. [1, 18] C.H. Robinson expects to generate around $300 million in annual cost synergies within two years, partly by applying its AI-driven operating model across RXO’s business. [1, 10]

Both companies’ boards have approved the acquisition. [8, 19] The deal is expected to close in the first half of 2027, pending regulatory approval and approval by RXO shareholders. [8, 19]
