Cardio Diagnostics Holdings, Inc. has opened a high-complexity CLIA-certified laboratory in Iowa City, Iowa. This facility provides the company with end-to-end control over its Epi+Gen CHD™ and PrecisionCHD™ cardiovascular clinical tests. The move replaces a previous third-party arrangement to streamline sample turnaround times and strengthen quality control.
CEO Meesha Dogan, Ph.D., identified the transition to in-house operations as a defining step for the company. Cardio Diagnostics anticipates achieving gross margins of approximately 40% at scale by shifting from variable outsourcing costs to a controlled internal structure.
The new facility also features a dedicated research lab focused on developing new epigenetic methods for cardiovascular care. This expansion is designed to ensure a more consistent customer experience while supporting future product development.
