Cerebras Systems and Compute Nordic Finland are developing a new AI data center in Mikkeli, Finland. The facility will scale in phases to reach 165 MW of contracted IT capacity. Construction has begun on the initial 50 MW phase.
Seven-year service agreements back the project to meet rising global demand for AI infrastructure. Independent analysis estimates the development will generate a regional investment between €1.0 billion and €1.7 billion.
The data center utilizes closed-loop cooling and waste-heat recovery systems to support the local community. The project serves as a long-term industrial anchor for the Mikkeli region.
