Hedge fund Farallon Capital Management initiated a significant new position in medical device maker Boston Scientific during the first quarter of 2026, according to a recent SEC filing. The firm purchased 7.47 million shares, valued at approximately $468.79 million, giving it a 2.67% weight in its reported portfolio.

This investment was disclosed in a 13F filing, which is a required quarterly report for large investment managers and reflects holdings as of March 31, 2026. During that same quarter, Boston Scientific reported net sales of $5.2 billion, an 11.6% increase from the prior year, driven by strong performance in its cardiovascular segment. The company, however, later tempered its full-year growth outlook due to increased competition.
