BP raised its forecast for 2026 divestment and other proceeds to approximately $9 billion, up $1 billion from its previous guidance.

The revision follows BP’s sale of a 5% stake in Norwegian oil and gas producer Aker BP. The stake sold for roughly $1.06 billion.

BP now retains an approximate 10.9% interest in Aker BP. It has agreed to a 90-day lock-up period for its remaining shares.

BP said it will use the proceeds to strengthen its balance sheet.
