Bayer reported positive results from the Phase III DASL-HiCaP trial of Nubeqa (darolutamide) in high-risk localized prostate cancer. The data were presented at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Congress 2026.
When added to standard androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) and radiation, Nubeqa reduced the risk of metastasis or death by 58%.
An interim analysis found a statistically significant improvement in metastasis-free survival, with a hazard ratio of 0.42. The four-year metastasis-free survival rate was 95% with Nubeqa, compared with 88% with placebo.
The drug’s safety profile was consistent with previous studies. The results could support Nubeqa’s use in a broader patient population and potentially boost its market share in the competitive prostate cancer treatment market.
