Bayer has launched the first products in a plan to release 10 blockbuster offerings. The company intends to launch these products over the next decade. Each product carries a peak sales potential of at least €500 million.
The initial rollout includes the Plenexos insecticide and the Preceon Smart Corn System. Plenexos debuted in Colombia, with upcoming launches scheduled for Mexico, Brazil, and the United States.
The Preceon Smart Corn System currently sells in Mexico, Italy, Spain, and the U.S. Bayer expects an Argentinian launch for the system this year. The company aims for this short-stature corn system to cover 26 million acres by 2035.
Future blockbuster releases include Vyconic in the U.S. and Canada in 2027. Intacta 5+ will launch in Brazil for the 2027/2028 season.
