Ashok Leyland plans to invest between Rs 4,000 crore and Rs 5,000 crore over the next three years. CFO and Whole-time Director KM Balaji confirmed the capital expenditure targets future growth and regulatory compliance.

A significant portion of the funds will drive product development for untapped market segments. The investment also supports compliance with mandatory safety regulations for Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) and emergency braking, effective October 2027.

The company is prioritizing technological capabilities for the transition to electric and software-defined vehicles. Additional resources will be allocated toward developing alternative propulsion methods.
