Applied Digital Corporation announced plans for a $3.6 billion artificial intelligence factory in Rapides Parish, Louisiana. The facility, named Delta Forge 1, represents the company's first project in the state. This campus will handle large-scale AI training and cloud computing workloads. Regional utility provider Cleco will power the site.
The development will create 200 direct full-time jobs. An additional 218 indirect jobs will support the regional economy. The project will also sustain over 1,000 construction jobs at its peak.
Site development began in January 2026. The company expects initial operations to start in mid-2027.
