Applied Digital Corporation is developing a $3.6 billion AI data center campus in Rapides Parish, Louisiana. The facility is named Delta Forge 1.
The campus is purpose-built for large-scale AI training. The project will create 200 full-time local jobs. It will also generate over 1,000 construction jobs.
The location remained confidential since its groundbreaking in January 2026. The asset is backed by a previously announced lease agreement valued at $7.5 billion. This contract spans a 15-year term. An undisclosed U.S. hyperscaler is the counterparty for this lease.
The project includes direct access to energy infrastructure. This expansion aims to meet high demand for AI computing capacity.
