Ânima Holding is reportedly pursuing the acquisition of Centro Universitário de Brasília (CEUB), a prominent private higher education institution in Brazil's capital. According to Exame INSIGHT, CEUB is currently for sale and seeking a valuation of up to R$ 2 billion.
Ânima has previously conducted due diligence and entered advanced negotiations for the asset. While CEUB currently operates at a loss, the institution significantly reduced its deficit over the past year.
The university aims to further improve its financial standing before finalizing a deal to maximize its market value. Other entities, including Grupo SEB and Mubadala, have previously expressed interest in the institution.
