Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) announced at Computex 2026 that it will extend support for the AM5 socket platform through 2029. This commitment provides a guaranteed upgrade path for users on the Zen 5 architecture. The company also initiated the global launch of the Radeon RX 9070 GRE, which was previously exclusive to China.

AMD unveiled the Ryzen 7 7700X3D to lower the entry cost of 3D V-Cache technology. This new 8-core processor expands the gaming options available for the AM5 platform.

AMD is re-releasing the Ryzen 7 5800X3D for the older AM4 socket as a 10th Anniversary Edition. This provides a high-performance upgrade for existing users without requiring a new motherboard.
