Dassault Aviation submitted a formal technical and commercial proposal to supply India with 114 Rafale fighter jets.

The potential procurement deal carries an estimated value of $35 billion.

The French proposal includes a domestic manufacturing plan for 94 of the aircraft. This initiative would establish the first Rafale production line outside of France.

The program aims to strengthen India's sovereign combat-aircraft ecosystem. It also addresses the Indian Air Force's declining squadron numbers.
