Xiao-I Corporation will appeal a Shanghai High People's Court ruling to the Supreme People's Court. The lawsuit alleges Apple Inc.’s Siri technology infringes on Xiao-I’s patent for a Chat Robot System.
The Shanghai court dismissed all of Xiao-I’s litigation claims in the first-instance decision. However, the court also rejected Apple’s counterclaim for RMB 2 million in litigation expense compensation.
The Supreme People's Court previously issued a final, non-appealable ruling upholding the validity of Xiao-I’s patent. Xiao-I expressed disagreement with the latest court findings regarding factual and legal conclusions.
