Airtel Africa is preparing an initial public offering for its mobile money unit, Airtel Money, in the second half of 2026. The unit targets a potential valuation of $10 billion. A report from CLSA indicates the IPO could raise between $1.5 billion and $2 billion. London is the likely listing location for what would be one of Europe's largest recent offerings.
Airtel Money reported a 36% year-over-year revenue increase to $1.4 billion for fiscal year 2026. EBITDA grew by 31% to reach $689 million during the same period. The unit's customer base expanded by 21% to 54 million users. CLSA identifies significant growth potential in markets like Nigeria where mobile money penetration remains low.
