Airbus finalized two major defense agreements with NATO allies at the NATO Summit Defence Forum in Ankara.

NATO allies will acquire 12 Airbus A330 Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) aircraft. This acquisition expands the existing Multinational MRTT Fleet (MMF) initiative to enhance air-to-air refueling and strategic transport.

Seven NATO member nations, including France, Spain, Türkiye, and the United Kingdom, launched a separate initiative for the Airbus A400M military transport. This project creates a multinational fleet to address strategic airlift gaps in missions such as disaster relief and medical evacuation. The program follows the structural model of the successful MMF initiative.
