AAR Corp. expanded its airframe Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility at Miami International Airport (MIA).
The project adds more than 100,000 square feet to the site. This expansion introduces three new heavy maintenance lines.
The new lines will primarily serve a long-term commercial airline customer. AAR expects to induct the first aircraft this autumn.
The project will create 200 new full-time jobs. Miami-Dade County and other partners collaborated with AAR on the expansion.
Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart praised the investment. They credited the project with strengthening South Florida's position as a global aviation leader.
