Aehr Test Systems secured a follow-on production order for its FOX-XP multi-wafer test and burn-in system. A primary silicon photonics customer placed the order to expand manufacturing capacity for next-generation integrated circuits. These components are critical for AI infrastructure, data centers, and optical transceivers.
CEO Gayn Erickson stated the order signals a transition toward large-scale manufacturing for the sector. The fully automated system includes nine test blades and automated wafer handling. Aehr expects to ship the equipment in the first half of 2027.
Aehr shares climbed over 7% in premarket trading following the announcement.
