Former consultant Joseph M. Nelzy filed a federal lawsuit against Accenture on May 13, 2026. The suit alleges racial and religious discrimination, retaliation, and a hostile work environment. Nelzy links his dreadlocks to his Haitian descent and Rastafarian upbringing.
The filing states Nelzy received positive performance reviews and awards. Accenture denied Nelzy project assignments after clients saw him. Accenture terminated Nelzy in April 2025. This termination followed formal complaints to HR.
The lawsuit cites a recorded call where a career counselor called corporate slogans "a lie." Accenture has not yet filed a response.
