Major investor Sound Shore, managed by co-founder Harry Burn, liquidated its entire stake in Albertsons Companies, Inc. during the second quarter of 2026. The firm sold all 4.13 million of its shares, exiting a position previously valued at $70.45 million which had accounted for 2.36% of its reported portfolio.
The sale occurred during a challenging period for the grocery retailer. In late July, Albertsons announced a significant corporate restructuring, dubbed "ACI Edge," and lowered its full-year financial outlook, citing pressure from softer consumer spending. As with all 13F filings, this disclosure is delayed; the trades were executed between April 1 and June 30, 2026, and reported on August 12.
