Access Holdings Plc is trading 4% down today at $22.00, following the release of the Central Bank of Nigeria's (CBN) June 2026 draft guidelines on Financial Holding Companies.
- The new guidelines formalize the direct ownership of foreign subsidiaries by Access Holdings and technically remove a primary regulatory block on dividend suspension.
- However, the draft also introduces a new condition requiring Financial Holding Companies to maintain a minimum 20% capital buffer, which Access Holdings "may need additional capital to meet".
